Epiphany
It was wonderful to join as a school community on Friday 12th January, to attend St Botolph’s Church for our first service of 2024 – Epiphany.
Epiphany – Three Kings’ Day – is a Christian feast on the 6th of January.
It is a special date for many Christians as it’s when people celebrate how a star led the Magi (the Three Kings or the Wise Men) to visit the baby Jesus after he had been born.
‘Epiphany’ comes from the Greek word meaning ‘to reveal’, as it is when the baby Jesus was ‘revealed’ to the world.
During the service, each class member shared their personal challenge and a challenge that the class decided to work towards during 2024.
Father Gordon then blessed all the challenges from every child in the school, asking God to help us keep these challenges.
